The Kolari 850nm Infrared filter blocks visible light up to 850nm from the light spectrum.
This 850nm version requires a full spectrum modification to be made to your camera unless using a long exposure. This entails manually removing the camera’s low-pass filter and replacing it with a clear filter.
The Kolari Pro Cinema infrared filters are made with polished optical glass. They are coated on both sides with a hydrophobic Anti-Reflective coating, making them water and smudge-resistant while also reducing stray reflections or unwanted infrared hotspots.
*A full spectrum modification to the camera is not required for the Kolari 850nm Infrared filter as long as you use the camera mounted on a tripod and set long exposures.
Otherwise, a full spectrum modification is required. That entails removing the camera’s low-pass filter and replacing it with a clear filter.
